Journey Health Systems and Deerfield Behavioral Health are looking for a psychiatrist who is responsible to evaluate, monitor, and diagnose patients to determine treatment and recovery plans. Counsel patients, write prescriptions, and monitor patients' progress, while being compassionate and sensitive to their needs and concerns. Work with patients' primary physicians and/or social workers to continue recovery after treatment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, pre-med, physical sciences, psychology, or related field
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Successful completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX-USA)
  • Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; local state regulations and certifications, Continuing Medical Education (CME), and Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations requirements must be met
  • Four-year psychiatric residency
  • Participation in further medical education and professional organization memberships are preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great interpersonal relations, communications, and demeanor

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires an active driver's license and a DMV check that is clear. Position may require travel in the communities served or state of Pennsylvania for position requirements 25-50% of the time.

DCAT Certified Recovery Specialist Part-Time

Deerfield Behavioral Health is looking for a Part-time Certified Recovery Specialist who will facilitate peer to peer services which allows patients with substance use disorders to establish and manage their recovery. This will be accomplished through establishing and maintaining healthy and non-exploitive relationships with patients at all times as well as exploring motivations for recovery, devising relapse prevention plans, and establishing, utilizing and networking with local resources for those in need.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 24 months of uninterrupted abstinence
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Within 6 months of hire, successful completion of a PCB (Pennsylvania Certification Board) approved Certified Recovery Specialist training program and examination.
  • Understanding of addiction, relapse, and recovery with an ability to display insight relative to the recovery process
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and maintain a positive relationship with community resources to support those in recovery.
  • Understanding and demonstrating understanding of time management, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and work independently, while being open to accepting direction and feedback from supervisor.
  • Sign an ethical code of conduct
